Knitters' CSA with wool from sheep you can meet!

A CSA for the knitter that wants to know the real wool producers up close and personal. Since 2002 the sheep at Maggie's Farm have grazed on pastures free of chemical fertilizers and herbicides. Our handspinner's flock of Lincoln x CVM sheep are humanely cared for and raised strictly for their gorgeous wools. Lincoln x CVMs are a long-wool cross, that I love to spin for its softness, luster, and affinity for dyes. Knitting with yarns from their fleeces is a true joy!

Annual Membership Fee: $200

Your membership will begin in March of each year with an invitation to Spring shearing. You'll get to be involved in our traditional Spring wool harvest and see where our CSA's product begins. It's also a great opportunity to meet the sheep and see their beautiful wool in raw form. Shearing is the very first step in Maggie's Farm Knitters' CSA.

Also included will be 6 distributions of wool shares. These would take place in March, May, July, September, November, and December. Shares will include yarn and pattern support and some special holiday surprises. CSA members will also receive a 10% discount on their yarn purchases throughout the year.

Monthly Meetings

In 2011 Maggie's Farm CSA members started meeting once a month to knit, eat, and create our community. This has been a wonderful addition to the CSA that we will continue. Hope you decide to join our community and support the friendly sheep at Maggie's Farm!
